TLCCA Legislative Corner

Last month TLCCA testified along with many child care providers at the Department of Family and Protective Services regarding the proposed rules for Minimum Standards. Hundreds of center owners came to Austin to express their concerns about how the changes will effect the families we serve. Some of the changes are very positive. But others are very costly and are proposed at a time when we can least afford to implement them. 

There is still time to make your voices heard. The DFPS is taking public comment through July 12th. Please provide comments on these proposed rules. There has never been a more important time to speak up! You can do it electronically by clicking on this link:

You can't afford not to be a member of TLCCA! In Texas there are nearly 9000 licensed centers, yet only a fraction belong to the only statewide membership organization dedicated to advocating and protecting our interests at the Capitol. We can't do it alone.
